What is Thungo?▾
Thungo is one online platform that runs your whole contractor business. You plan the job, send the quote, turn it into an invoice, collect the payment, and order materials, all in one place. It replaces the mix of WhatsApp messages, Excel sheets, emails, and separate payment apps that most contractors juggle today.
Who is Thungo for?▾
Thungo is built for service providers — individuals and registered trade businesses such as solar installers, electricians, plumbers, and builders — and for clients who hire them. Providers can offer contracting, handyman work, material sales, or equipment rental from one account. Clients post jobs, review quotes, and follow projects on the same system.
How do I sign up?▾
Create your account, then choose Client or Service Provider. Service providers next say whether they work as an individual or a business, and what they offer (handyman, contracting, materials, or equipment). All you need is a working email address. Suppliers and staff do not sign up on their own — suppliers are set up by our team, and staff join through an employer invitation.
Do I need to download or install anything?▾
No. Thungo runs in your web browser, the same program you use to visit websites, such as Chrome or Safari. Open the site, sign in, and start working. There is nothing to install on your computer.
Can I use Thungo on my phone?▾
Yes. Open the website in the browser on your phone and sign in; the pages adjust to fit your screen. Native iPhone and Android apps are coming soon.
Do I need to be good with computers to use it?▾
No. If you can send an email or use WhatsApp, you can use Thungo. Each screen walks you through one step at a time, and the platform does the calculations, like labour costs and quote totals, for you.
I forgot my password. What do I do?▾
On the sign-in page, choose the forgot password option and we will email you a link to set a new one. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If you are still stuck, contact our support team.
What is EstimateIQ?▾
EstimateIQ is a set of trade calculators built into the quote builder. For example, the solar rooftop calculator works out panels, materials, and labour from the job details you enter, so your quote is based on real numbers instead of guesswork. It is included on plans that have the feature.
Where do I get help if I am stuck?▾
Browse the knowledge base and FAQ for guides and answers, or email our support team from the Contact page. Once you are signed in, you can also raise a support ticket from inside the platform and our team will get back to you.
What does Thungo cost?▾
Every new account starts with a free 14-day trial that includes every feature. When the trial ends, you choose between the Starter, Professional, and Business plans. Current prices are listed on the pricing page.
